  • The big difference is that the private school can screen out the children who do not meet their "standards." Also, a fair amount of teachers in private schools are not as qualified as teachers in public schools.

  • There is no one size fits all. Children are unique and they must be treated, to some degree, as such. This is where a teacher has to be able to discern the difference and meet the needs of individual students.

  • Private schools and public schools are two entirely different things. In the end, private schools can/have/will kick underperforming children out of the school. This is especially so if the child's performance/behavior is tarnishing the reputation of the school which is nothing more than a business.

  • Thanks TiG. I know that part of politics is being good at semantics, but everyone has to also look at this from the perspective of an average person which is: "My taxes went up. I don't care what you call it."
